Admission, Credit and Transfer Policy
Admission as a student to St Thomas Seminary requires each applicant to state the belief that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and accept Him as Savior.
St. Thomas will consider transfer credits from other institutions. Please note that the transfer-ability of credits earned at St. Thomas Seminary are solely at the discretion of the receiving institution. Again we stress that we are a religious institution and not a secular one, and our degrees are designated as such. We seek not to prepare men and women for the work of the world, but rather for the work of the Lord.

Credit for Life Experience
Credit for life experience has been an established option for some years now, especially at the Bachelor Degree Lever. Students (age 30 and over) are invited to request credit for life experience with special consideration for (Seniors age 55+). Such decision is solely at the discretion of Seminary Faculty. We do not assess any charge for such evaluation. Such experience may include appropriate employment, military service, professional activities, volunteer service, Church work, travel, reading, and independent studies. Credit Limits: 60 Credits for a Bachelors Degree, and 15 Credits toward Graduate Work.
Tuition
Tuition is currently $30 USD per credit hour with most courses being 3 credits for the initial ordination degree. Tuition is locked in for a course of study or degree based on the date of acceptance or transfer.
Scholarships may be available depending on financial need. Tuition is internationally adjusted to local currency

Financial Information
St Thomas Seminary Faculty serve without salary, the work being part of their Ministry. Fees charged cover administration cost and operational expenses. This make costs very reasonable. All fees and expenses must be paid in full before a Degree is conferred.
Refund Policy - Registration Fees will be refunded in full if the student is not accepted. All other fees are refundable within 60 days of registration provided all materials are returned in usable condition, less a fee of $50 for expenses. Please allow up to 60 days for any requested refund due to the frequent travel of our faculty.
Registration Procedure - Students are required to submit a signed application for registration with the appropriate fee. Upon approval a faculty advisor will be assigned.
Text Books - Students are responsible for securing text books and related study materials.
Graduation Procedure - When a student has satisfactorily completed all requirements for graduation an application for graduation signed both by student and faculty advisor with the appropriate fee is to be forwarded to the Seminary. The Degree will then be granted.
Fees may be paid in reasonable installments convenient to the student. Those with serious financial restraints are invited to request assistance. Make all checks payable to Saint Thomas Old Catholic Theological Seminary.

Academic Policies
- Programs of study are available through external independent study; therefore students may begin and graduate anytime.
- Grading may be requested either Pass/Fail or the A,B,C,D,F 10 point system. (90.0+ is an A, 89.9-80.0 is a B etc.)
- All papers written will adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) style guide. Students are expected to procure a copy of the style guide version 5 or newer.
- Upon registration a Faculty Adviser will review course expectations, and work with the student on an individual basis, serving as mentor, and contact with the Seminary.
- Where there is a disagreement over academic decisions the student may appeal to the Dean of Studies or Seminary President. Is is assumed that Christian goodwill applies for both student and the faculty.
- Terms, fees and conditions are subject to change. However, as long as a student is in good standing in a degree program, the catalogue in use at the time of registration shall apply.
- Students and Faculty are encouraged to make use of the telephone for personal contact which can be at the mutual convenience of both. Fax, email, texting and video chat are also utilized.
- A student may request two course withdrawals without prejudice. The Seminary reserves the right to terminate a degree program after three course withdraws. Course withdraws are not recorded on transcripts.
- Faculty are anxious for the student to succeed, and will work with a student until at least a satisfactory level is achieved.
